The Best Western Premier Louisville is a newly renovated hotel seeking an adaptable, highly motivated people person to join our sales team and support our corporate sales staff in an administrative capacity. You should be an excellent multitasker with high attention to detail and deadline and excellent customer service skills. This is an entry-level position with the potential for growth in the sales department; we love promoting from within! As part of your daily duties you will:


  • Respond to telephone and in person inquiries about hotel services and help coordinate arrangements for group events with the front desk, reservations, meeting rooms, and food and beverage.
  • Assist in the development of promotional ideas to increase sales.
  • Communicate daily with sales staff to review upcoming functions and ensure distribution of upcoming Banquet Event Order sheets to appropriate department heads.
  • Conduct sales administrative duties such as weekly sales activity reports and maintaining sales files, trace files, and account history.
  • Draft, review, and file event contracts.
  • Maintain sales records and filing systems.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by sales staff and management.


You need the following experience and skills:


  • High school diploma or GED; degree in sales, business, or related field helpful but not required.
  • A minimum of one year sales and/or admin experience.
  • Read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency with computers and various software to include but not limited to Microsoft Suite and Google, or ability to learn proficiency.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and/or sit for long periods of time.


The following skills are a plus:


  • Ability to respond to multiple task interruptions and still provide service to internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner, while still executing assigned duties.
  • Experience with marketing.
  • Ability to remain calm and make good decisions under pressure and in stressful situations.
  • Clear, concise, and professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented, organized, and productive.
